We are proud to announce that Ecofuel is now the official Platinum Sponsor of Galway United Football Club!

Sports play such an incremental role in our lives, and many health experts would say sports make us healthier, happier and mentally stronger.

It was back in December 2020 when Ecofuel HR consultant and Galway United FC board member Ruairi Guckian presented us with an opportunity to become a significant Platinum sponsor for the local Galway United Football Club and rename the old stand to Ecofuel stand.

Knowing how much our support would mean for the local club and community, with close to 150 Men's, Women's and Academy games planned this season, we made a swift decision to participate in the sponsorship. In January, Ecofuel signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Galway United Football Club starting this season.

Here are some of the official statements from the Galway United FC.

“We were delighted to secure Ecofuel as a commercial partner, and it is another great news story for the club. Ecofuel want to get more involved in their community, and we could not be happier to be partnering with a progressive business such as them. I do not doubt that this partnership will be of huge benefit for both Galway United and Ecofuel.” Francis Kelly, Commercial Manager – Galway United.

“Ecofuel is exactly the type of business which the club wants to partner with – a local, sustainable business that wants to make a difference in their local community. The Board look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with Janis and his team in Ecofuel, and we will be working closely with them to introduce environmentally friendly initiatives across our community” – Ruairi Guckian, Board Member GUFC.

Looking back, we couldn't be happier, and the Ecofuel team is very proud to be part of the local sports community and can't wait to welcome all the fans to Eamonn Deacy Park once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
